Marine Renewable Energy Resources

The HIDTMA group, as part of its activities, regards the undertaking of studies and support for the management thereof as necessary for the implementation of renewable energy production systems in the marine environment. HIDTMA’s technology and experience enables them to cover the following range of subjects:

  • Study and analysis of the specific legislation, documentation and processing required for the implementation of renewable energy production systems in the marine environment.
  • Mono and multibeam bathymetric studies. Execution of a digital model of the seabed.
  • Morphological study of the seabed. Composition and characteristics.
  • Marine geophysics study. Structure and vertical composition of the seabed.
  • Maritime climate. Winds, vertical profiles, wind potential, temperature, humidity, etc.
  • Waves and currents. Measurements and numerical modelization. Pressure on structures.
  • Analysis of sea level. Tides, waves, superelevations.
  • Dispersion study of contaminants and particles in the marine environment.
  • Marine biology. Benthic cartography, cetaceans, birds, etc.
  • Analysis of fisheries. Fishing grounds, fishing equipment, catches, economic valuation.
  • Valuation of landscapes.
  • Study of water quality and marine sediments.
  • Environmental impact study.
  • Socioeconomic study.
